Monster Hunter G ported to Wii in Japan

Capcom seems to be on a porting craze as of recently. Capcom is now porting Monster Hunter G to the Wii in Japan, according to the recent Famitsu.  Monster Hunter was originally on the Playstation 2 and later ported to the PSP as Monster Hunter Freedom.

Monster Hunter G will be released in Spring 2009 and will be a pretty much identical port with 16:9 widescreen mode and the ability to send items, purchased from shops, directly to your home. There is no movement involved with the Wiimote, good thing. This game only works with the Classic Controller. Monster Hunter G should be out before the other Monster Hunter is released in 2009.

Sounds like good news to me. I’ve been a fan of Monster Hunter since the first one came out on the PSP. It’s a great game.
