Punch-Out!
Punch-Out!

Punch-Out! is going to be released on May 18th and is an update to the classic title. I can’t wait to play that one. But there’s not many interesting games on this list, for me anyway.

LittleBigPlanet PSP

LittleBigPlanet PSP
LittleBigPlanet PSP

LittleBigPlanet has recently been announced for the Playstation Portable, developed by Media Molecule, and it will most likely be able to connect to the Playstation 3 in some way. This portable version will also keep the three qualities of it’s console counter part, the :playing, creating and sharing.

“There is a whole play, create, share component to the game, just like the PS3” John Koller, Director of Hardware Marketing for Sony Computer Entertainment of America, said. “They are still working on that, so there’s not a whole lot to talk about yet.”

It was also said that they are exploring ways to connect and share levels between the PSP and Ps3, but no official decision has been made. According to them, Sony’s desire to expand the casual market of the PSP is what fueled the decision to bring LittleBigPlanet to the PSP.

Lost Planet 2 Multiplatform

Lost Planet 2
Lost Planet 2

Well, Lost Planet 2 has recentely been announced by Capcom. They said to be released on the Xbox 360 but they never claimed it to be an exclusive. They said it was exclusively announced on Xbox Live, and that it was being developed on the Xbox 360, but not developed exclusively for the Xbox 360.

Last year, in September, Capcom stated  that “…all major titles launched during the next fiscal year or thereafter will be developed as multiplatform games.”. I’m pretty sure Lost Planet 2 is considered a major title? So most likely this is going to be a multiplatform game.

When Edge Online, a website, asked Capcom to clarify whether or not the game would be exclusive to the Xbox 360, the representative said “All we can say at this time is that we’ve announced Lost Planet 2 for the 360. That’s all I can say.”. They are seemingly reluctant to call Lost Planet 2 an exclusive.

So maybe the Playstation 3 will be getting Lost Planet 2? Maybe the PC?

Lost Planet 2 Announced

Yes, Lost Planet 2 has officially been announced. Last Friday, Capcom announced that it would be announcing a new game over Xbox Live on Monday. Well, it’s monday, and the 435.62 MB trailer has been put onto Xbox Live.

The Producer of Resident Evil 5, Jun Takeuchi, is producing this Lost Planet sequel. It takes place 10 years after the prequel and now features Jungle environments. It will also hone a Gears of War 2 style cover system. The game, however, is not dated yet. This is exciting news! I am a big Lost Planet fan.

God of War III Scans

God of War III
God of War III

Some fresh new God of War III scans have been recently published to the internet, and they are looking good. I like how it boasted about it’s use of 100% of the Playstation 3’s power. Saying: “1080p HD + No Loading + Perfect Frame Rate = God of War 3”. The new pics look amazing, the graphics are extremely top notch. Sure the blood may look “meh” and so might the glowing. But the poly count, lighting and animations are amazing.

So far, from the scans, we can tell that there will be no pegasus, no co-op, no multiplayer and no six-axis use. They said that they weren’t interested in the Six-Axis and I don’t blame them, hah. It’s not something really interesting, I think. Also, it may also be worth noting to know that Naughty Dog and Insomniac are helping Santa Monica. Such a beastly team up, if I may say, heh. Also, the scans said that the puzzles have been made easier/shorter so the action could be focused on more. More fighting/less puzzles? Some may like that transition, some may complain that this game will become a button masher though. I personally like what they’re doing with the game. With this game seeing a 2009 release, it will seriously not fall short of anything but amazing. You’re looking at Game of The Year right now, whether it has multiplayer or not…

Check out the scans here.
