The Nintendo Wii is being graced with the release of a new Wii Fit Plus and the new Mario Game later this year, according to Japan’s Nikkei newspaper.
Wii Fit Plus will come with online functionality and allow you to compete with family and friends over the internet. Possibly sharing your Wii Fit workout data across the internet, and allowing them to try and beat your data. Not only that, but Wii Fit Plus supposedly now has more accurate measurements, which may be coming from the Wii MotionPlus controller.
Japan’s Nikkei also writes that Nintendo is planning on releasing a new Mario game before the end of the year. This may be one of the games that Satoru Iwata, One of the head people at Nintendo, spoke of at last year’s E3 when he said that the Mario and Zelda teams were hard at work on new Wii games. Though, we don’t know if this new Mario game is going to be something comparable to Super Mario Galaxy. This could just be another mini game title or branch of a Mario game. I’m hoping for something a little more action packed though, like the old days.
That’s right, the rumored, PSP Go, is now official. The official design and picture to the left. This is the smaller, redesigned, version of the Playstation Portable, and it’s not looking too bad if I do say so my self. It looks like Sony is going for a small and sleek sort of design this time around.
The Psp Go comes with 16 gb of Flash Memory and bluetooth support. The video rental service via PSN may be extended to the Go. Altough the PSP Go is supposed to be the “New Thing”, the previous PSP 3000 will still be made and sold on the market. It is being released this Fall, and pricing has not yet been announced. It is 43 percent lighter then the PSP 3000 and it has a 3.8 inch screen. Also, if you don’t already know, it has the slideable screen, to reveal the buttons as you see in the image to the left.
This is looking pretty good. Sony apparently doesn’t expect everyone to like the new design, so they’re keeping the old PSP on the market, sounds like a smart decision. Looks like one of Sony’s showstoppers and big E3 announcements has just been leaked. Somebody is getting fired, heh. Lets hope that PS3 slim is real, so we can get a discounted PS3 this year!
As if Twitter is the next “big thing”, many companies are using it to tease for upcoming news and events. LionHead happens to be one of those companies, as they are lightly teasing something big to happen at this coming Microsoft E3’s press conference.
With more news to come, as E3 is less than a week away, it seems as if everything is being teased and shortly spoke about as the days come by. They had this to say:
Lionhead is off to LA for this year’s E3 and will give a big presentation at the Microsoft press conference on Monday! Watch this space!
Who knows what this news can be? Maybe it’s that new franchise that Peter Molyneux was speaking of. Since he doesn’t want LionHead studios to only be known for Fable. Maybe it’s more Fable II downloadable content. It’ll be interesting to find out where this teasing leads too. I’m personally hoping for that new franchise that Peter Molyneux was talking about, I’m hoping it’s an action packed one.
The official game line up for Activision, this coming E3 2009, has been released. A line up that includes the highly anticipated Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 and Guitar Hero 5. Prototype is there as well, thankfully.
This list has a range of new sequels and new games. The game that has me most excited at the moment would have to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. That game just looks amazing, and we haven’t had a real Call of Duty sequel since Call of Duty 4, in my opinion. By the way, there’s not much to hear from the Blizzard side of Activision, but there may be some last minute calsl.
Yes, the next GTA IV expansion pack is coming out, shortly after the release of the “Lost and The Damned” . Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony is to be released this Fall on the Xbox 360 for $20 or 1600 Microsoft Points. The Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes From LIberty City is going to be up for $39.99. It will not require the original GTA IV disc in order to be played.
