Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2, latest sequel in the Call of Duty franchise, has been announced for the Nintendo DS recently. Now being called Modern Warfare: Mobilized, this sounds like an interesting switch, why not put it on the Nintendo Wii? But anyway, for those of you Nintendo DS owners, this is good news, as Modern Warfare 2 on the DS will feature both Multiplayer and Horde modes.

Activision announced that it is being developed by n-space, same people who developed Call of Duty: World at War on the DS. They’re aiming for a November 10th release. Modern Warfare: Mobilized will have you fighting on maps, using turrets, hacking into computers, and using tanks. Does this sound like the full experience given by Modern Warfare 2 on consoles? No, not even close, but it’ll be good for those of you who enjoy FPS’s on the Nintendo DS.

Modern Warfare: Mobilized will feature 6 player online multiplayer modes, and a survival mode (Horde mode) that has you trying to survive against hordes of enemies sent your way. It will also offer an arcade mode, which has you playing through a timed single player campaign while keeping score. This game will feature it’s own story line as well, different than that of it’s console counterpart.

I personally wouldn’t even consider getting this, because I don’t see how such an amazing game would be pulled off on such a Nintendo DS. For those of you looking forward to this game, keep your eyes peeled for a November 10th, 2009 release of Modern Warfare: Mobilized.
