For those of you fearing an Uncharted 2 Install, don’t worry, it’s been confirmed that there won’t be an install required. Contrary to the idea that Uncharted 2 would require players to install a 1.7 GB file, you don’t actually.
The Naughty Dog co-president announced it on his twitter that Uncharted 2 will not require an install.
Now you can immediately hop into your gaming session when you get your Uncharted 2, so enjoy it well!
This amazing Playstation 3 game, Uncharted 2 Among Thieves, by Naughty Dog is slowly, but surely, nearing it’s release date. Yesterday the release information has been revealed. So the release date, box art, and release specials are now buzzing around the internet. I was actually tempted to write this article yesterday, but I decided to save it for today. Uncharted 2 will be arriving to the US on October 13th, and where you preorder your game does actually matter, in this case.
The official box art is to the left, in that thumbnail. A pic of Nathan Drake hanging from that runaway train, as seen in one of the first videos of Uncharted 2 that was released. Pretty actiony and appealing box art, no complaints there. So onto the preorder information. Amazon, Game Crazy, Gamestop and Best Buy will all be having different downloadable exclusives that come with the preorders.
Best Buy’s preorder comes with Golden Barettas and a golden AK-47, that is able to be used in Multiplayer mode for show off purposes. These are exclusive to Best Buy, however, so if you want to be sporting Golden Weapons, then this retailer should be your choice. But remember, while Golden guns may be flashy, they also give off your position quite easily due to it’s shine and oddity. Amazon will be getting an exclusive Uncharted 2 Treasure Map. Which will allow you to discover hidden treasures throughout the game. Game Crazy will get an exclusive Currency Multiplier for multiplayer online use. Which will allow you to get ingame currency quicker and unlock bonuses quicker than your opponents would. Gamestop gives you exclusive first access to the Uncharted 2 Multiplayer demo as well as the “downloadable Revenge Attribute”. The revenge attribute is one of the last boosters you can unlock in the Multiplayer campaign, and with this downloadable content, you’ll be able to unlock it at the start of your Multiplayer Campaign.
These downloads will be available to those who pre-order until the end of the year, so if you plan on doing it, you should. In my opinion, the GameStop and Best Buy downloadable contents are the best ones out of the bunch. No doubt many will go for the golden barrettas and golden ak-47s, but people would probably also wanna get that revenge attribute. I’m guessing that those will be the best. The exclusive multiplayer access will allow you to play the multiplayer beta 2 weeks before it is released to the public.
So there you have it, if you don’t know about this game, go look up on it. This game will most likely be one of the games of the year, it is an amazing game so far, and all Playstation 3 owners who like Action and Adventure games should have this one in their collection some time in the future.
Two Uncharted 2:Among Thieves videos have been released recently. One showing off the co-op/multiplayer capabilities and the other was a 5 minute video of Uncharted 2 single player gameplay. Let me just say that this game is nothing short of amazing. The graphics are the best I’ve seen on a console yet they weren’t playing around when they said that they’re using 100% of the Playstation 3. This game looks visibly better then anything else I’ve seen on the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 yet, though may some beg to differ.
The cover system looks great and the stealth mechanics also look well made. I like the fact that you’re able to cimb up terrain and buildings, that adds a whole new sense of gameplay to the mix. Especially in Single Player, as you saw the guy hanging on a sign shooting and using it for cover, on the side of a building. Not only does that add fun, but it adds a sense of mystery as to where to find your enemy. You need to watch literally every spot in sight, because you never know where they may be.
The enemies look quite smart, that’s a great thing. Smart A.I makes the game’s single player great, not even to mention it’s multiplayer. The way you can incorporate stealth to take out your enemies is a simple yet fun mechanic that they put in. I hear the enemies detection system is realistic, making it great for you to great for you to get away from your enemies when you’re trying to hide. The cinematic sequences, such as the part where he was running away from the truck, looks amazing. The graphics were top notch. The little animation touches are admirable too, such as when a bullet whizzes close by him, he cringes a little or flinches. Little touches like that makes the game that much more entertaining and interactive.
Now, not only is Uncharted 2: Among Thieves probably gonna be a Single Player Game of The Year contender, but now it’ll definitely be competing for the Multiplayer Game of The Year award. This game is really something that all gamers need to play. I’m most definitely going to be getting a Playstation 3 sometime soon, and I will own that game once it comes out or once I get my Ps3.
Yesterday, Sony was speaking of an “electrifying” announcement to take place on April 27th, and a reader happened to send an image of the inFamous preorder box that just revealed this bit of information. I’m pretty sure the announcement has to do something with this, heh. inFamous will apparently be coming with a voucher for the Uncharted 2: Multiplayer Beta.
A multiplayer sequel to the single player prequel, no doubt this is electrifying news. This confirms multiplayer play for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, which is going to be one of the Ps3’s most powerful games. On April 27th, there will be more information released most likely.
This is amazing news, how many of you will actually buy inFamous just to get early access to the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer?
Some fresh new God of War III scans have been recently published to the internet, and they are looking good. I like how it boasted about it’s use of 100% of the Playstation 3’s power. Saying: “1080p HD + No Loading + Perfect Frame Rate = God of War 3”. The new pics look amazing, the graphics are extremely top notch. Sure the blood may look “meh” and so might the glowing. But the poly count, lighting and animations are amazing.
So far, from the scans, we can tell that there will be no pegasus, no co-op, no multiplayer and no six-axis use. They said that they weren’t interested in the Six-Axis and I don’t blame them, hah. It’s not something really interesting, I think. Also, it may also be worth noting to know that Naughty Dog and Insomniac are helping Santa Monica. Such a beastly team up, if I may say, heh. Also, the scans said that the puzzles have been made easier/shorter so the action could be focused on more. More fighting/less puzzles? Some may like that transition, some may complain that this game will become a button masher though. I personally like what they’re doing with the game. With this game seeing a 2009 release, it will seriously not fall short of anything but amazing. You’re looking at Game of The Year right now, whether it has multiplayer or not…
